10th Annual Wisconsin Poverty Report

The 10th Annual Wisconsin Poverty Report found the Wisconsin poverty rate increased to 10.8 percent in 2016, compared to 9.7 percent in 2015, despite the state’s jobs growth during the period. The study by UW–Madison’s Institute for Research on Poverty (IRP) found poverty rates rose for children and the elderly as well.
