The Wisconsin Partnership Program recently announced its 2020 Community Impact Grant awards for initiatives that aim to advance health equity and well-being throughout Wisconsin.
Six projects were awarded grants to support community-academic partnerships to improve health outcomes by addressing social determinants that influence health and well-being over the course of a lifetime.
CCHE is delighted to see several friends and partners receive these substantial awards:

- Accelerating Health Equity for Black Women in Wisconsin, awarded to the Foundation for Black Women’s Wellness in partnership with the UW Population Health Institute

- Black Men’s Mental Health and Well-Being, awarded to the Rebalanced Life Wellness Association and the Urban League of Greater Madison in partnership with the UW School of Human Ecology, UW-Whitewater, and the UW School of Medicine and Public Health
Dr. Alvin Thomas, a 2016 alum of our UW Health Equity Leadership Institute, is part of the team focusing on black men’s mental health. This reflects an impressive continuation of Dr. Thomas’ ongoing commitment to community-academic partnerships since arriving in Madison in last fall. Learn more.
Heartfelt congratulations to all recipients!
