CCHE is thrilled to congratulate Kajua B. Lor, PharmD, BCACP, on her recognition as the 2018 Professional of the Year by the Hmong Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce!
Dr. Lor was honored by the Hmong Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce during their 2018 Annual Business Awards Banquet on October 12, 2018.
The Hmong Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce (HWCC) is a statewide Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) providing economic development assistance in providing access to capital through business loan products, business development consultation services, and networking opportunities. HWCC’s Annual Business Awards Banquet celebrates the successes of Hmong and Southeast Asian (SE Asian) businesses throughout the state. The theme of the 2018 event was ‘Elevating Our Legacy’ and featured individuals and businesses who are raising the bar. The Professional of the Year is an award recognizing a professional who has achieved significant milestones in their professional career, elevating the community with their accomplishments.
Dr. Lor is Chair and Associate Professor in the Clinical Sciences Department at Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI.
CCHE first connected with Dr. Lor when she participated in our Health Equity Leadership Institute (HELI) in June 2016! She also joined us for a one day training on the National Research Mentoring Network (NRMN) Culturally Aware Mentoring workshop in October 2017 and generously served as an expert consultant for one of our Mock Grant Reviews during HELI in June 2018.
We’re delighted to know Dr. Lor and so glad she and her amazing expertise about an important Wisconsin community are just down the road at MCW in Milwaukee!
