Equity in Research & Health: Why Do We Care? Join us Feb 19

AoU CCHE lectureJoin us on Tuesday, February 19th from 4:30-6:30pm at the School of Nursing for a FREE talk by Andrea Gilmore-Bykovskyi, PhD, RN. Dr. Gilmore-Bykovskyi is a CCHE Health Equity Research Fellow, Health Equity Leadership Institute (HELI) 2018 alumna, and Assistant Professor in the UW School of Nursing!

In “Equity in Research & Health: Why Do We Care?” Dr. Gilmore-Bykovskyi will discuss the ways health equity, research and healthcare intersect from the lens of a geriatric nurse and health services investigator. The discussion will highlight challenges and solutions to increasing representation in research to alleviate long-standing health inequities, and health care providers’ roles in advancing equitable care and research. Following Dr. Gilmore-Bykovskyi’s talk, a panel will present on key UW programs and initiatives that address health equity and research representation.
