CCHE encourages you to Save-the-Date February 16-17, 2018 for the 8th Annual Solomon Carter Fuller Memory Screening Events ~
Each year during African American History Month, the Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC), in conjunction with the Alzheimer’s & Dementia Alliance of Wisconsin, hosts the Solomon Carter Fuller Community Discussion about Alzheimer’s Disease and Memory Screening Day. This annual two-day educational gathering includes continuing education for health care professionals, a community lecture, confidential memory screenings, and educational workshops for Alzheimer’s disease patient caregivers.
The two-day event features Keynote Speaker Dr. Cerise Elliott, Senior Research Program Analyst, Division of Neuroscience at the National Institute on Aging.
- On Friday, February 16th, from 6:30-8:30pm, Dr. Cerise Elliot will join a community discussion about dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, “Advancing Health Disparities Research in the African American Community.” The event is FREE and open to the public and a reception will follow the discussion.

- On Saturday, February 17th from 9:00am – 3:00pm, the 8th Annual Solomon Carter Fuller Memory Screening Day will take place at The Village on Park (2300 S Park St, Madison, WI 53713). The day will include a caregiver workshop, free memory screenings, and a healthy cooking demonstration featuring Chef Rod Ladson.
