In the United States, there are substantial racial disparities in wealth, with the typical White family holding many times the wealth of the typical Black or Hispanic family. In this webinar we will hear about this issue and some of its origins, particularly those stemming from official policy. Fenaba Addo will focus on the instability of the Black middle class, Jacob Faber on the development of an unequal racial geography, and William A. Darity, Jr., on policy solutions such as reparations that could help to address these inequities.
