Catalyst films summarize findings from qualitative health experiences research by artfully presenting video, audio and text clips from interview studies in an engaging format. They are designed for use in clinical education, care improvement, research, and community settings. In this session, investigators from the UW Department of Family Medicine and Community Health’s Qualitative and Health Experiences Research Lab will present on a catalyst film they produced using an ICTR CCOR Pilot Award. The presentation will explore how catalyst films are made, screen some examples, summarize preliminary findings about efficacy, and discuss future directions for this promising work.
Funding for ICTR pilot awards was provided by the UW School of Medicine and Public Health from the Wisconsin Partnership Program.
