Clinical Trial and Biostatistics Think Tank: ANTIHYPERTENSIVE THERAPY FOR MILD CHRONIC HYPERTENSION DURING PREGNANCY: A PRAGMATIC MULTICENTER RANDOMIZED TRIAL (CHAP PROJECT)
April 18, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Kara Hoppe, DO, Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology
Hoppe will present her proposal for an ancillary study to the CHAP project – a multicenter, randomized trial with a primary aim to evaluate the benefits and potential harms of pharmacologic treatment of mild chronic hypertension in pregnancy. The purpose of this ancillary study is to evaluate the effect of home blood pressure monitoring with nurse-directed telemedicine on the diagnosis and treatment of severe postpartum hypertension amongst women with known chronic hypertension compared to standard of care clinic visits 7-10 days postpartum.
