On March 8, Maria Mora Pinzon, MD, MS, FACPM, will present “Sharing Strengths: Disseminating Pisando Fuerte – A Latino/a/e/x Fall Prevention Program.” Dr. Mora Pinzon is an Assistant Professor in the UW-Madison Department of Medicine, Division of Geriatrics and Gerontology. This presentation will explore best practices in adapting and delivering the culturally tailored “Pisando Fuerte” program, empowering communities to prevent falls through collaboration and evidence-based strategies. Join us to share experiences, gain valuable skills, and build connections that could be applied in other efforts to improve the health of Latino/a/e/x communities. Register via Zoom to attend the presentation.
This presentation is part of the DRISS series, an interactive, monthly lunchtime seminar for UW-Madison faculty, staff, students, and community members to learn about the growing science of dissemination and implementation research and practice. Enhance your knowledge and skills, share experiences, and develop connections with others in this community for your future work. Each seminar will feature a 40-minute presentation followed by 20 minutes of interactive discussion. DRISS occurs every second Friday of the academic year at noon. Auto generated captions in English are available. Seminars are open to all, and participants can receive credit for attendance through the Department of Population Health.
