On October 11, Barbara King, PhD, RN, FAAN, Linsey Steege, PhD, Mary Hook, PhD, RN-BC, and Sheri Martin, BSN, RN-BC, will present, “Creating ‘Better Seeds’ for Implementing a Systems-Based Intervention to Improve Hospitalized Older Adult Functional Outcomes: The MOVIN Journey.” Dr. Barbara King is a Professor in the UW-Madison School of Nursing, Dr. Linsey Steege is a Professor in the UW-Madison School of Nursing, Dr. Mary Hook is Research Scientist and Nursing Research Manager for Advocate Health, and Sheri Martin is Patient Care Manager on an inpatient acute care cardiac unit for Advocate Health. This presentation will describe Mobilizing Older adults Via a systems-based INtervention (MOVIN), forming organizational partnerships, implementation strategies used to create a better fit of MOVIN to match organizational and unit level needs, and challenges/lessons learned with launching a pragmatic clinical trial during a pandemic.
