DESCRIPTION:On March 14\, Maria Mora Pinzon\, MD\, MS\, FACPM\, will present\, “Expanding Reach: Implementing Effective Strategies for Latino Recruitment in Research Studies.” Dr. Maria Mora Pinzon is an Assistant Professor in the UW-Madison Department of Medicine\, Division of Geriatrics and Gerontology. \nIn this presentation\, Dr. Mora Pinzon will share her insights gained from recruiting Latino participants into research studies. She will explore the unique challenges faced\, the culturally tailored strategies implemented\, and the lessons learned along the way. Key topics will include building trust within the community and utilizing bilingual and bicultural staff. Attendees will gain practical tips and evidence-based approaches to enhance their recruitment efforts and foster inclusive research environments.
