Equity in Research & Health: Why Do We Care?

In this FREE talk, Dr. Andrea Gilmore-Bykovskyi will discuss the ways health equity, research and healthcare intersect from the lens of a geriatric nurse and health services investigator. The discussion will highlight challenges and solutions to increasing representation in research to alleviate long-standing health inequities, and health care providers’ roles in advancing equitable care and research. Following Dr. Gilmore-Bykovskyi’s talk, a panel will present on key UW programs and initiatives that address health equity and research representation. Food & Drinks will be provided!
