The UW Survey Center (UWSC) has conducted more than a thousand surveys since its inception in 1987. At this event, Survey Center Associate Director John Stevenson will discuss methods for increasing survey response rates, and how to effectively use incentives in survey research.
- This practical talk will explain why we care about response rates, and the methods and best practices survey methodologists use to increase survey response rates.
- They will discuss the useful and not so useful approaches to using incentives in survey research.
- While providing some background, this session is meant to be practical – highlighting best practices in new and prevailing survey research methods, for web surveys, mail surveys, telephone surveys and more.
- Bring your questions!
This event will benefit investigators, scientists, and research staff. It will be geared toward survey research in the health sciences, but useful to any discipline that uses questionnaires to collect data.
