Orientation to Research at UW

The Orientation to Research at UW course is an introduction to the research infrastructure at the University of Wisconsin. It will introduce you to a variety of research offices, departments and resources within the UW and explain how they interact with one another. Pre-registration is required. The course will take place via Zoom.
Target Audience: Personnel working in clinical research at the UW, ideally within their first year of hire.

Instructors: Mary Checovich, MS CCRC, Department of Family Medicine and Community Health and Community Health and Kaelin Grant, CCRC, Research Program Manager, Department of Surgery. Mary has over 35 years of experience in research with the School of Medicine and Public Health. She is an active member of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) and serves on the CCRC Exam Committee for ACRP. Kaelin has worked for the Department of Surgery for six years. Prior to this, she worked as a research coordinator at the University of Chicago.
