Workshop: Community Engaged Research to Reduce Rural Cancer

October 31, 2019 @ 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

diane-doberneckThe Wisconsin Initiative to Reduce Rural Cancer (WIRRC) Community-Engaged Research Training is on October 31st at the Monona Terrace Convention Center and will be led by Dr. Diane M. Doberneck of Michigan State. We will use several interactive approaches to think about cancer-related research that is relevant to attendees’ own work. The day will focus on building “win-win” partnerships and project ideas that have benefit for local communities and researchers, as well as build towards larger projects and sustainability. The training will be attended by both UW faculty/staff and rural community partners engaged in the WIRRC project.
