DESCRIPTION:This full-day\, free workshop offered by the Just Research program is open to anyone interested in learning more about responsible\, respectful\, and sustainable community engagement with research. We will explore barriers and facilitators to community participation in research and offer plenty of opportunities for group work and self-reflection. \nThis is not your typical “sit and listen” training session! Expect plenty of conversation and group activities in a safe space that invites vulnerability and growth. \nThis is the last chance to attend a Just Research workshop in 2024. \nRegistration is limited to 25 people to allow for personal connections between the participants. DESCRIPTION:Title: Madison’s Mental Health Crisis Intervention Team (CARES): Implementation Experiences and Research Partnership \nPresenters will tell the story of how Madison’s innovative CARES (Community Alternative Response Emergency Services) team came into being from the perspectives of Madison Fire Department leadership and a crisis team member. They will describe some of the implementation considerations for translating a commitment to address an urgent health need in the community into a viable city program. The connection to research will also be explored. \nThis presentation is part of the DRISS Presents TEACH-RS series\, an interactive\, monthly lunchtime seminar to learn about dissemination and implementation research and recruitment science. Enhance your knowledge\, share experiences\, and develop connections with others in the community for your future work. It occurs every second Friday of the academic year at noon.
