Overview

This Request for Proposals is related to Element E of the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences Clinical and Translational Science Award.  Please read the story in the ICTR newsroom to learn more about this RFP.

Requirements:

  • Focus on Clinical & Translational Science (CTS) rather than basic discovery research
  • Address a translational research question in a particular disease or intervention development/dissemination context

Two-page Concept Proposals are due no later than Jan. 15, 2026, at 11:00 pm central time.

Full, ten-page proposals, from those invited to submit them, will be due in May 2026.

Live Q&A Session: Have questions about this opportunity? A live Q&A session with ICTR leaders Allan Brasier, Beth Burnside, and Christine Sorkness will be held Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026, from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. Registration is required, including submitting question(s) for the session.

Application Details

Terms:

Up to $125,000 per year (direct costs only)

Duration:

2-3 years in length (from July 1, 2027, to no later than June 30, 2030)

Applicant Eligibility:

UW–Madison faculty from ICTR partner schools/college may serve as Contact PI (School of Medicine & Public Health, School of Nursing, School of Pharmacy, School of Veterinary Medicine, School of Education, College of Engineering)
