ICTR Invites Self-Nominations for Co-Director of TL1 Program

UW ICTR is seeking an innovative, emotionally intelligent leader at the associate professor or professor level with a demonstrated track-record of successful interdisciplinary translational research and mentorship of pre-and postdoctoral trainees to co-lead the TL1 Career Development Program.

The ICTR NRSA TL1 Program consists of both predoctoral and postdoctoral components. The goal of the ICTR Predoctoral TL1 Program is to train future research leaders who gain exposure and experience in the scientific foundation of clinical and translational research as a discipline. The goal of the ICTR Postdoctoral TL1 Program is to provide a firm foundational pathway to bridge previous doctoral training (MD, PharmD, DVM, PhD, etc.) to future independent and sustained careers in clinical and translational sciences.

Since inception, the TL1 program has supported 72 pre- and post-doctoral trainees from departments and programs across UW-Madison.

TL1 Co-Directors are responsible for providing programmatic leadership for the TL1 Program. They are also responsible for selecting new TL1 trainees for CTSA support; introducing innovative training/educational approaches to enhance knowledge, skills, and attitudes in translational team science, leadership, and communication; and evaluating TL1 programming.

Interested faculty members are invited to self-nominate by submitting their CV and a cover letter to Allan Brasier, ICTR Executive Director and SMPH Senior Associate Dean for Clinical and Translational Research at abrasier@wisc.edu no later than June 10.
