NACHP Distinguished Lecture Series with Kris Rhodes, MPH

CCHE would like to alert you to the upcoming Native American Center for Health Professions (NACHP) Distinguished Lecture Series featuring Kris Rhodes, MPH (Bad River and Fond du Lac Bands of Lake Superior Chippewa).

Ms. Rhodes is the CEO of the American Indian Cancer Foundation, a national organization dedicated to capacity building solutions based in tribal wisdom to eliminate cancer burdens faced by American Indian and Alaska Native people.

In her lecture, “Indigenous Cancer Burdens and Solutions. Trust Community Wisdom,” Ms. Rhodes will present available data on American Indian and Alaska Native cancer incidence and mortality by region. She will share how the American Indian Cancer Foundation is working with partners across Indian Country to change cancer outcomes by addressing the identified barriers and solutions based on a combination of community wisdom, traditional teachings, and scientific knowledge.
