ICTR invites applications for two Pilot Award opportunities

by Jennifer Smith
A group of people are discussing a new project. A glowing light bulb represents a new idea.

Through its Pilot Awards Program, the Institute for Clinical and Translational Research announces a Request for Applications (RFA) for two distinct funding mechanisms: the Advancing Translational Research & Science Pilot Award and the Translational Basic & Clinical Research Pilot Award.

Funding for each award is up to $50,000 (direct costs only) for up to 12 months. Interested applicants may only apply to one opportunity, not both.

Visit the funding opportunity page for each mechanism (linked below) to find key dates, eligibility requirements, and other important information in the full RFAs:

Focus of these awards

The Pilot Awards Program at ICTR directly supports our goal of fostering the development of investigator-initiated translational research that promotes health for all.

ATRS Pilots must address a clinical and translational research question in a particular disease or intervention development/dissemination context and provide generalizable clinical and translational science innovations or insights that can be applied to other translational research projects, thereby increasing the overall efficiency or effectiveness of translation.

TBCR Pilots are designed for clinical research projects that define and develop novel clinical interventions or translational aspects of research incorporated into an investigator-initiated project, or projects that address contemporary and/or emerging health crises.

Questions

Questions about either opportunity may be directed to Pilot Awards Program Manager Bri Deyo at deyo@wisc.edu.
