The Advancing Health Equity and Diversity (AHEAD) initiative is an effort out of the Collaborative Center for Health Equity (CCHE) with programs associated with the ICTR currently recruiting post-doctoral or junior faculty scholars with a focus on health disparities/health equity research: Centennial Scholars and Women’s Health/Centennial Scholars Program; T32 Health Disparities Research Scholars Program; the Family Medicine Primary Care Research Fellowship; the Building Interdisciplinary Research Careers in Women’s Health (BIRCWH) Program; and other health equity related Fellowships on the UW campus. Across these programs, scholars are trained to use Type 1 and Type 2 translational research approaches for investigation of health disparities/health equity. AHEAD is an infrastructure to provide Scholars in these programs a critical mass for collaborative activities.
