With the School of Medicine and Public Health, ICTR sponsors research internships and collaboration opportunities at UW-Madison and Marshfield Clinic, available during the summer period to undergraduate, graduate, and medical students.
Since 1964 Marshfield Clinic Research Institute has sponsored a 12-week summer internship program to provide college undergraduate and graduate students hands-on research experience. Interns contribute to the development, data collection, analysis, and presentation of results of a research project.
Areas of research concentration include: clinical research, laboratory research, epidemiology/public health, agricultural health and safety research, and biomedical informatics. Students receive an hourly stipend plus housing in a fully-furnished apartment near the medical complex. Additional information is available at the Marshfield Clinic Research Institute site.
