• Intellectual Property
  • UW researchers have an obligation to disclose inventions created while carrying out their university duties, using any university funding, or using university premises, supplies, or equipment. The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Education is responsible for evaluating UW–Madison invention disclosure to determine who may have rights to the invention as laid out by federal rules, contracts, or other obligations. In some cases, UW-Madison inventors may retain rights to their inventions or petition the federal government to obtain these rights.

AcademyHealth’s Translation and Dissemination Institute “helps the field of health services research move its findings more effectively into policy and practice”. Website shares publications, resources, and programs, in addition to links to the Translation & Communications Interest Group and the Institute’s Advisory Committee.

Dissemination & Implementation Models in Health Research & Practice
This interactive website was designed to help researchers and practitioners select the D&I model that best fits their research question or practice problem. These models review the study or practice context, assist in the full integration into the process, and provide direct measurement instruments for the model constructs. The term ‘Models’ refers to both theories and frameworks that enhance dissemination and implementation of evidence-based interventions.

National Cancer Institute – Implementation Science
This site links funding, conferences, and training opportunities for investigators. A bibliography of D&I publications including current key publications is also included.

Implementation Science Exhange (NC TraCs at UNC-Chapel Hill)
The Implementation Science Exchange is a free, online source for those interested in resources to help design, acquire funding for, execute and disseminate Implementation Science research projects. This site is a public service of the North Carolina Translational and Clinical Sciences Institute (NC TraCS).

The modules can be viewed together as a whole or individually by section. In the facilitated course, trainees move through the online modules after establishing a D&I research project idea. Each module consists of viewing videos, completing readings, and responding to assignment questions to build up their project idea. Trainees then workshop their proposed projects by incorporating knowledge gained from each of the online sections.
