CCHE would like to alert you to the UW Gender & Women’s Studies 2020 Conference taking place on April 16-19, 2020 ~
The 2020 Conference event is titled “Resistance and Reimagination: Gender, Change, and the Arts” and is co-convened by UW-Madison’s 4W Initiative, the UW System Women’s and Gender Studies Consortium, and UW-Madison’s Gender and Women’s Studies Graduate Students. This year’s theme encourages a feminist lens to argue against a separation amongst art, politics, activism, and epistemology. With the help of the arts, we can envision how to deconstruct, decolonize, and reimagine life and society.
All public talks are free and open to the public. The roster of keynote and plenary speakers is available here.
The African American Health Network (AAHN) of Dane County has a session on Saturday, April 18th at 9:00am at Pyle Center. Speakers include Gale Johnson, Eva Vivan, Fabu Carter, and Lilada Gee. The African American Health Network is a non-profit organization whose mission is to foster networking among African American health professionals and community health advocates and promote health education, healthy lifestyles, self-advocacy, empowerment and well-being among African Americans in Dane County.
