Crawford has a postdoctoral appointment in the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation where his expertise in the field of muscle injury and muscle mechanics/physiology will be applied to quantitative ultrasound imaging of skeletal muscle injury. The goal of this research is to provide an evidence-based approach for sports medicine clinicians and coaches to provide better care for athletes at risk for hamstring and other muscular strain injuries and reduced their chances of re-injury. His mentors are Bryan Heiderscheit, PhD, & Ken Lee, MD (School of Medicine and Public Health).
