***New in 2020*** Adam J Kuchnia, PhD, RDN, is an Assistant Professor of Nutritional Sciences (CALS). His proposal focuses on developing imaging-based measures of muscle quality that can be used as therapeutic targets to evaluate and optimize muscle health in those affected by muscle wasting, a pervasive condition complicating prognosis in various disease states, such as end-stage heart failure and lung cancer.
