Rebecca Marnocha, PharmD , is Associate Executive Director of the UW Institute for Clinical and Translational Research (ICTR) and Director of Clinical Research for the UW School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH) and UW Hospital and Clinics (UWHC).

She also serves as core leader for the Clinical Research Infrastructure System (CRIS), overseeing regulatory, quality, and compliance programs and processes. CRIS includes the Health Sciences IRB; Data Monitoring Committee; IND/IDE Consultation Service; OnCore (clinical trial management system); Research Billing Compliance Program; Study Monitoring Service; Research Subject Advocate Program; and research support personnel training initiatives.

Dr. Marnocha also provides operational oversight for the ICTR Clinical and Translational Research Core, which houses the Clinical Research Unit and the Office of Clinical Trials, as well as two research networks, the Wisconsin Network for Health Research (WiNHR) and the Midwest Area Research Consortium for Health (MARCH).

As Director of Clinical Research for SMPH/UWHC, she is responsible for optimizing research operations and workflows across the SMPH/UWHC infrastructure. She ensures that research workflows comply with hospital operations, and that the hospital supports and facilitates research.

A native of Michigan, Dr. Marnocha has a Clinical Professor appointment at the UW-Madison School of Pharmacy. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, MI, and a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, later completing an oncology research fellowship at the UW-Madison School of Pharmacy.
