***New in 2018*** Kristen Pickett, PhD, MA, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Kinesiology in the School of Education. She will examine the effectiveness, feasibility, and ideal delivery approach for a tri-weekly home exercise program for rural patients with Parkinson disease. The goal of this program is to enhance the ability of participants to perform the activities of daily living by increasing their exercise levels via a community activity that promotes social support and engagement.
Pickett’s KL2 mentors are Dorothy Farrar Edwards, PhD (School of Education, School of Medicine and Public Health); and Jane Mahoney, MD, & Marina Emborg, MD, PhD (School of Medicine and Public Health).
