Mirtha Sosa Pacheco
Position title: Program Manager, All of Us Research Program
Mirtha Sosa Pacheco is the Program Manager for the UW-Madison All of Us Research Program at the Center for Community Engagement and Health Partnerships (CCEHP) in Milwaukee. As a UW Center for Collaborative Health Equity Ambassador at Milwaukee’s United Community Center, Mirtha began her work with the All of Us Research Program through a community partner lens. In 2019 she joined the UW All of Us team as the Community Coordinator at CCEHP, during which time she worked with the team on strategic planning and engagement, education, and enrollment of Milwaukee community members into the study. She is dedicated to empowering the Milwaukee community in its health and providing access for inclusion in science and research.
Mirtha’s previous research experience highlighted health equity, advocacy, capacity building and community-academic partnerships. Her previous work focused on the relationship between socioeconomic determinants of health and chronic disease such as obesity, hypertension, diabetes, etc, which represent health disparities outcomes in minority populations. Mirtha graduated with a BA from Marquette University in 2014, with an interdisciplinary academic background of Spanish Language, Literature and Culture, Social Welfare and Justice, and Health Studies.
