
CCHE would like to alert you to some upcoming events at the statewide Wisconsin Science Festival, via our colleagues in UW Community Relations ~
The Wisconsin Science Festival is taking place October 17-20, 2019 and you can find the listing of all events on their website: https://wisconsinsciencefest.org/.
The 2018 festival included hundreds of events in dozens of communities across the state, and this year they plan to bring even more science fun to locations near you.
- The first Madison event, Who Owns Science? Representation, Inclusion, Culture and the Scientific Enterprise, will discuss what participation in science looks like in our culture and how excluding practices and perspectives from non-white, non-dominant cultures and legacies can be a detriment to scientific endeavor.

- The second panel, Science in Entertainment and the Arts: The Most Powerful Way to Communicate Science, will feature discussion about how scientists can engage with the public through the arts.
