Dr. Gravel Sullivan serves as the Associate Director of Research Translation and Implementation for ICTR’s nationally-recognized Dissemination and Implementation Launchpad, as well as its new Learning Health Systems program. With a passion for curriculum and systems design for impact, Dr. Gravel Sullivan works to ensure these programs provide the next generation of biomedical and behavioral scientists formal training and other services to advance their careers, accelerate their impact in translational research, and improve health and health equity.
Dr. Gravel Sullivan’s career spans 25 years of experience creating, managing and teaching in professional development programs, including through distance education. She has held leadership roles in medical education for 15 years, most recently as the Executive Director of Distance Learning and of the Review Committee for Anesthesiology at the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. Prior to that, she served as Graduate Medical Education (GME) Program Manager for the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, as Education Administrator with the Department of Medicine, and as an Assistant Researcher with the UW’s Center on Education and Work.
She earned her M.A. in Communication Studies from Northern Illinois University and doctorate in Speech Communication from the Pennsylvania State University. She also holds a certificate in Distance Education Professional Development from the University of Wisconsin.
