Starting in January, join ICTR’s Research and Protocol Development Program and Multisite Research Support Service alongside SMPH’s Department of Family Medicine and Community Health and Marshfield Clinic Research Institute for “The Short & The Sweet: Your Next Conference.”
These workshops are free, virtual, and open to University of Wisconsin-Madison and MCRI faculty, clinicians, team members, administrators, staff, and students. This series focuses on clinical, epidemiological, and health behavior topics, but topics may be useful for other research focuses.

This session will guide you through the essentials of designing and presenting an effective conference poster. Topics will include visual communication principles like layout, color, and typography to enhance clarity and engagement. We will offer tips on delivering concise presentations that complement your poster content and highlight resources available to you through the UW DesignLab. Leave with practical strategies to create impactful posters suited for both virtual and in-person conference settings.

You will gain practical strategies to craft abstracts that capture attention and communicate research value for conference settings.
