Introduction
ICTR’s work is guided by three important bodies that help ensure that our programs and services are of the highest caliber they can be, and that our overall direction is sound, forward-looking, and responsive to identified priorities. Learn more about these groups below.
In addition to these three groups providing broad guidance, there are additional committees and councils devoted to specific ICTR programs.
Comprised of the Vice Chancellor of Research and Graduate Education, Deans (or designated representatives) from the UW Health Sciences Schools and Colleges, and a representative from Marshfield Clinic, the committee meets quarterly to provide guidance on ICTR programs and policies that impact clinical and translational research across the institution.
ICTR relies on the expert guidance of an External Advisory Committee (EAC). This body is made up of eight members who are leaders in peer institutions from the Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) consortium.
The EAC convenes annually to review our programs and provide guidance and suggestions pursuant to recent progress, new programmatic directions, and strategic vision.
