About

Scott Crawford, PhD, CSCS, is an assistant professor with a joint appointment in the Departments of Kinesiology and Orthopedics & Rehabilitation. The title of his KL2 research is “Neural Plasticity and Muscle Mechanics Following Hamstring Injury: A Combined fMRI and Ultrasound Study.” This project aims to determine the combined differences in brain and motor control responses between individuals with and without a recent hamstring strain injury. The proposed research aims to provide evidence of altered central nervous system responses following hamstring strain injury—a currently unaddressed factor in muscle recovery—and motivate future studies toward novel rehabilitation strategies.

Primary Mentor: Dane Cook, PhD (Department of Kinesiology)
