About
Keith Knurr, DPT, PhD is an Assistant Professor in the department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation Medicine. The title of Keith’s KL2 research is “Post-Traumatic Knee Osteoarthritis Following ACLR: Early Detection, Clinical Correlates, and Intervention Development.” This proposal aims to assess the impact of anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) on knee health and identify modifiable factors associated with osteoarthritis (OA) through a cross-sectional matched-control study, a survey-based study, and an intervention efficacy study. Ultimately, this research aims to reduce the burden of OA in individuals post-ACLR by identifying modifiable factors associated with early cartilage degradation, a critical step toward mitigating OA’s projected healthcare burden.
