Below are options for requesting a free consultation with one of our team members. By completing a consultation request form you’ll help us identify the right individuals to respond to your needs. We periodically conduct brief customer surveys to understand how best to improve our service delivery.

Biomedical Data Science Program
The Biomedical Data Science Program emphasizes expertise in study design, monitoring, and data analysis. Request a consultation related to statistical, ethical, or other data-scientific aspects of clinical/translational research.
Clinical & Health Informatics
Inquire about assistance with recruitment, request data for a research project, request a computing environment for clinical research data, or request a consultation with the Informatics team.
Clinical Research Unit
The Clinical Research Unit (CRU) is a dedicated research facility providing medical scientists with the resources and conditions necessary to conduct clinical research. Request a consultation for hospital space and nursing support (such as drug administration, sample processing, body measurements, etc.).

Health Equity Research Consultation
The Collaborative Center for Health Equity (CCHE) has staff and faculty available to consult on community-based research projects, connecting with community partners, and health equity career development programs.
Data Monitoring Committee
The Data Monitoring Committee helps investigators ensure subject safety, research integrity, and compliance with federal regulations and local policies.
Dissemination & Implementation (D&I) Launchpad
Meet with the D&I Faculty and Launchpad team for a guided conversation about dissemination and implementation strategies to use throughout your process, before research begins, prior to a grant proposal submission, and/or during funding.

Drug and Device Regulatory Assistance Consultation
The program provides comprehensive support to researchers navigating FDA regulations. Request consultations with regulatory experts, assistance with protocol reviews, and support for IRB and FDA submissions.
Medical Imaging Research Support
The ICTR imaging services, through the UW Departments of Radiology and Medical Physics, provides access to multiple diagnostic imaging technologies and expertise in image acquisition and analysis.
Multisite Research
The Multisite Research Consultation Service supports investigators and study teams throughout every phase of their multisite clinical trials. We offer expert guidance on grant planning, study startup through closeout, and provide valuable resources tailored to your needs.

Navigator – Research Support
If you need help at any stage of your clinical or translational research project, let ICTR’s navigators help direct you to services and advise you on your “next steps” in your research journey. We help faculty investigators across research planning stages, from developing the research questions to the onset of study execution.
Recruitment & Retention
Our consultations support various aspects of your research, including grant development, protocol planning, and mid-enrollment troubleshooting. Request assistance with increasing diversity of participants, engaging patient and community groups, assessing recruitment and retention methods, and more.
Research and Protocol Development Program
ICTR provides individualized protocol and grant development support with the goal of improving the quality of investigator-initiated clinical research and reducing the time from study conception to conduct.

Scientific Editing Services
Consult with a dedicated editor that can help strengthen and clarify your scientific documents (manuscripts, grants, protocols, and other materials).
Strategic Alliance Program
Investigative teams can collaborate with ICTR Alliance members to design hypotheses, establish assays, define endpoints, and develop analysis plans. Consult with our team to get involved.
Wisconsin Network for Health Research (WiNHR)
WiNHR is a multisite health system research network established to promote statewide research and assist in moving research results from bench to bedside by allowing investigators to perform clinical, translational, comparative effectiveness, and health outcomes research across various platforms.
