The mentor training workshop sessions are based on the published and evidence-based Entering Mentoring curriculum. Participants will be introduced to key mentoring competencies and skills to cultivate effective mentoring relationships and learn about available mentoring resources and tools. The seminar uses a case-based approach to provide opportunities for reflection on mentoring skills, and a forum for participants to discuss mentoring dilemmas and share strategies for success.

The workshop will be led by Professors Christine Sorkness and Angela Byars-Winston. They will be joined by trained facilitators from the ICTR mentorship team and the SMPH community.

This workshop is best suited for Associate and Full Professors in SMPH on the Tenure and CHS tracks.
