The ITHS’ Rural Health Initiative seeks to engage rural communities, clinicians, and patients in the design and implementation of translational research. Building on the principles of community engagement, the Rural Health Initiative is co-led by Dr. Allison Cole and Dr. Kelly McGrath and will develop investigator and community-led projects that address a community health priority.
The goal of this presentation is to describe the organization of the Rural Health Initiative and share tools and processes developed that support rural community engagement in translational research.
