About

ICTR Central Administration supports and advances the Institute’s operational, fiscal, and data infrastructure, giving teams across ICTR what they need to deliver high-impact programs and services. This work includes leading cross-ICTR initiatives and collaborations; leveraging tools and technology for sustainability of operations; and promoting inclusion, engagement, and partnerships. We work closely with teams across ICTR to deliver and manage programs and services, facilitate communications and reporting to our grant funders, and foster new and ongoing collaborations with ICTR partners.

Our experienced and highly collaborative teams provide critical infrastructure and strategic guidance across multiple functions.

Operations and Administration

Our Administrative Team supports a range of operational activities across ICTR, including facilitating purchases, managing office space and equipment, coordinating employee onboarding, providing executive leadership support, and organizing cross-ICTR events.

Evaluation and Tracking

The Evaluation & Tracking Team operates at three levels:

  1. Supporting ICTR programs and teams in the design and implementation of evaluation initiatives.
  2. Designing and coordinating evaluation efforts at the Institute level
  3. Collaborating with the national CTSA consortium on evaluation initiatives.

This includes tracking and reporting outcomes across the institute to better understand ICTR impact on the institution, best practices for improving the local clinical and translational research workforce, and effective approaches to improving healthcare in Wisconsin.

Financial Management

The Finance Team provides centralized management of ICTR grant budgets and expenditures in collaboration with programs and partners. This includes tracking and reporting of expenditures, invoicing for revenue generating activities, payments to vendors and collaborators, and financial management and guidance for pilot awardees and scholars.

Grants Administration

The Grants Management team facilitates and supports the full spectrum of pre-award and post-award activities, assisting with grant proposal development and submissions, overseeing grant-related expenditures, contributing to budget and grant reporting and reconciliation, and facilitating human subjects compliance reporting.

Communications

The Communications Team develops and implements both internal and external communications designed to raise awareness, facilitate collaborations, and demonstrate impact. The team manages the ICTR website and produces a range of products, from newsletters and feature stories to social media content and event handouts.

Project Management

The PROMICE Team (Project Management Innovation Center of Excellence) provides comprehensive project management support for internal ICTR teams and for collaborative projects with partners at UW-Madison, Marshfield Clinic Research Institute, and UW Health. The team also develops standards and tools for use in project and workflow management across the Institute.
