The All of Us Researcher Workbench makes data available to registered researchers for analysis and collaboration. Data from diverse All of Us participants nationally include electronic health records (EHR), genomics, measurements and wearables, and surveys.

Data Commons

We deliver requested data to researchers to support clinical research projects, support study management software to facilitate research, including REDCap and OnCore, and provide infrastructure for secure data storage and analysis.

Data Monitoring Committee

The Data Monitoring Committee (DMC) meets the requirements for an independent Data and Safety Monitoring Committee or a Data and Safety Monitoring Board. The DMC is available for UW–Madison investigators when a funding agency, the PI, or IRB requires such a committee or board.

Draft, Submit, Revise: A Manuscript Writing Series

This series of virtual and in-person sessions guides researchers in the writing and editing process, starting from the initial stage of having analytical results and the desire for publication. Participants learn the art of structuring and crafting a compelling research story, navigating the intricacies of editing, and handling reviewer critiques.

Drug and Device Regulatory Assistance Consultation

The program offers consultations to support investigators conducting research with FDA regulated products. Support includes helping researchers understand what FDA regulations apply to the development of drugs, biologics, and devices; how regulatory requirements apply to research protocols and how to maintain FDA compliance when conducting research; and, assistance preparing submissions to the IRB and FDA.

Facilitating Entering Mentoring Workshop

Facilitating Entering Mentoring is a workshop designed to increase the capacity of scholars to implement mentorship training at their own institutions.

Health Equity Research Consultation

The Collaborative Center for Health Equity plays an integral part in supporting research that addresses health disparities and seeks to advance health equity for historically underserved populations in the state of Wisconsin and across the country.

Health Outcomes and Care Reports

These reports present electronic health record data from Wisconsin health systems at the ZIP code level on 27 measures spanning the care continuum – from vaccinations and screenings to chronic disease care.

Strengthen and clarify your manuscripts with the help of a Scientific Editor. The Editor will provide customized structural and content edits to meet your specific needs, including correcting grammatical and typographical errors, improving sentence structure, paragraph organization, and flow, and strengthening the scientific significance and impact.

The UW Department of Radiology Medical Imaging Research Support (MIRS) provides assistance to UW research teams interested in using medical imaging as an outcome measure.

The Multisite Research Consultation Service supports investigators and study teams throughout every phase of their multisite clinical trials. We offer expert guidance on grant planning, study startup through closeout, and provide valuable resources tailored to your needs.

Multisite Research Management Service

The Multisite Research Management Service is a fee-for-service resource available to UW research teams, offering both à la carte options and comprehensive full-service packages. Our team is dedicated to collaborating closely with UW researchers to efficiently manage the external sites of multisite clinical trials.

OnCore Study Management Software

OnCore is a Web application used for protocol management and communication of billable procedures, also known as a Clinical Trials Management System (CTMS). It is integrated with other systems and hosted on a vendor server.

Protocol Support Services

Accelerate investigator-initiated clinical and translational research with individualized protocol development support. We offer expert guidance on study design by connecting you with specialists and assisting with protocol editing to streamline IRB approval. We help ensure protocols are scientifically sound and regulatory-compliant for successful clinical research and better patient outcomes.

Qualitative Research Group

The Qualitative Research Group is a working group for ICTR-affiliated principal investigators (PIs) and their research staff members who are actively engaged in collecting and/or analyzing qualitative data.

Recruitment & Retention Consultation Service

The Recruitment & Retention Consultation Service provides free tailored guidance, resources, and recommendations to investigators and study teams across UW.

REDCap Data Management Software

REDCap is a Web application used for building and managing electronic data collection forms. It is hosted on a local server.

Our team will work with UW faculty to cross disciplinary boundaries and identify potential collaborators to help you devise innovative solutions for a complex problem in human health.

Research Mentor Training Workshop

Research Mentor Training is an evidence-based, interactive workshop that is based on the published Mentor Training for Clinical and Translational Researchers curriculum and engages mentors in collective problem solving and connects them with resources to optimize their mentoring practices.

Scientific Editing Services

If you need editorial assistance with materials that aren’t a manuscript, grant, or protocol, let ICTR’s Scientific Editor assist you. These materials can include conference materials (abstracts, posters, presentations), lay summaries, manuals and toolkits.

Scientific Review Committee

ICTR operates two Scientific Review Committees that assess the scientific merit of investigator-initiated, non-oncology, human subjects research submitted to the Health Sciences IRB that has not already undergone peer review by another entity.

Sociodemographic Profile Reports

These reports provide context on living conditions and demographics across ZIP, county, rural/urban, and state geography levels.

Statistical Data Analysis for Reporting

We provide comprehensive support for many forms of data analysis. Study-completion activities may include preparing data for analyses, analyzing data, statistical inference, results interpretation, integration of data sources, and preparation of results for publications and presentations. We adhere to best practices in reproducibility, rigor, and transparency in our statistical and computational analysis workflows.

Statistical Support for Data Collection

Statistical support during the data collection phase of a study can be crucial. This service can help you with monitoring of studies, data and safety monitoring for clinical trials, and development of systems for quality control, progress reports, and presentation of interim analyses.

Strategic Alliance Consultation

The Strategic Alliance helps investigative teams collaborate to design hypotheses, establish assays, define endpoints, and develop analysis plans for clinical or translational research involving living subjects.

The TEACH-Recruitment Science (TEACH-RS) Seminar Series is an interactive lunchtime seminar held on the second Friday of every month during the academic year.

The Trial Innovation Network (TIN) is a collaborative national research network consisting of institutions within the CTSA Program. TIN identifies projects and shares opportunities within the network to increase the reach of multisite research for clinical trials.

WiNHR Consultation Service

WiNHR is a multisite health system research network established to promote statewide research and assist in moving research results from bench to bedside by allowing investigators to perform clinical, translational, comparative effectiveness, and health outcomes research across various platforms.
