About

On Friday, December 12 at noon (CST), Anne Gravel Sullivan, PhD, and Sara Westergaard, MD, MPH, will present, “The UW Health Learning Health System (LHS): Realizing the Promise of a Primary Hospital Provider Team for Complex Patients.” Dr. Gravel Sullivan is Associate Director of Research Translation and Implementation for the Institute for Clinical and Translational Research (ICTR) and Dr. Westergaard is Assistant Professor (CHS) in the Division of Hospital Medicine at UW-Madison.

In this presentation, they will provide an overview of what it means to bring an LHS approach to a health care improvement project and describe the Primary Hospital Provider Team project’s pragmatic trial design and mixed-methods approach to evaluation, highlighting how these strategies are being used to assess the effectiveness of this proposed process redesign at UW Health.

The Implementation Science Seminar Series is an interactive seminar to learn about the four pillars of the Dissemination and Implementation field: implementation theory, methods, strategies, and laboratories. It occurs every second Friday of the academic year at noon and is open to all. Auto generated captions in English are available. Participants can receive credit for attending the Implementation Science Seminar Series through Shellie Ellis. Register via Zoom to attend.
