Overview

Special note: The ICTR KL2 program is anticipated to transition to a K12 program in summer 2027. The current RFA and FAQs reflect the existing KL2 program. These materials will remain available to provide prospective applicants with an overview of the types of information typically requested by the program; however, please note that requirements may change.

The annual K12 package provides 75% of a $120,000 university base salary (with fringe support) and a $30,000 annual research stipend for personnel, supplies, travel, tuition and other allowable expenses as they pertain to a research project. The initial appointment is two years, funded by NIH-NCATS.  Up to one additional year in the program, funded internally, is possible subject to the scholar’s progress and need.
