Overview

TL1 postdoctoral awards support UW–Madison trainees from diverse backgrounds with research interests in translational science. Find greater detail on the TL1 Training Awards program page.

Funding is typically provided for two years, with an option of a third year of funding under extenuating circumstances.  It is anticipated the postdoctoral fellow will be supported by independent training grants, career development awards, or other types of extramural funding at the completion of the program.

Applications are due each year on April 1 and October 1.

Terms:

NIH postdoctoral stipend based on years of experience, fringe, tuition support, travel support

Duration:

Up to 2 years

Applicant Eligibility:

Postdoc

Special Criteria:

Translational research project, primary mentor

How to Apply:

Biannual Admissions: Submit applications by October 1 or April 1 for appointment start dates of January 1 and July 1, respectively.
