ICTR invites applications for LHS Demonstration Project

by Lauren Neumann

Deadline to submit Letter of Intent: January 27, 2025

ICTR is pleased to announce the release of the Request for Applications for the Learning Health Systems (LHS) Demonstration Project. ICTR’s LHS Demonstration Program invites clinical faculty to work on projects that align with the priorities of the UW Health system and can be addressed using an informatics, data-focused approach with a focus on health outcomes. The aim is to showcase a practical, implementation-focused LHS that uses patient experiences and care data to inform decisions and interventions at the point of care.

Two grants are to be awarded at $125,000 each for 12 months. The successful grantee will demonstrate a collaborative Learning Health System that improves health care delivery and grows the LHS infrastructure in a sustainable manner.

“This award supports UW Health demonstration projects that leverage pragmatic, data-driven design to address healthcare priorities. We aim to foster collaboration between clinical champions and health leaders to integrate research into operations, swiftly implementing interventions that advance health equity, improve patient outcomes, and enhance provider well-being,” said Majid Afshar, Director of the LHS Demonstration Program.
