About
Angela Byars-Winston, AMPLIFI Program Lead, is a tenured professor in the UW Department of Medicine, Director of Research and Evaluation in the UW Center for Women’s Health Research, and Faculty Leader in the Center for the Improvement of Mentored Experiences in Research.
Her research examines cultural influences on academic and career development, especially for different groups in the sciences, engineering, and medicine with the aim of broadening their participation in STEMM (+M = medicine) fields.
Dr. Byars-Winston received the 2022 ACTS Clinical and Translational Research Distinguished Educator Award: Mentorship Innovation. (View a related video.)
