ICTR Pathway Program welcomes new scholars

by Lauren Neumann

Forty-three scholars from 26 departments spanning nine UW–Madison schools, colleges, and institutes make up the 2025-2026 cohort for the ICTR Pathway Program. The nine schools, colleges, and institutes are:

  • School of Medicine and Public Health
  • Sandra Rosenbaum School of Social Work
  • Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies
  • School of Human Ecology
  • School of Nursing
  • School of Education
  • College of Letters & Science
  • College of Agricultural & Life Sciences
  • School of Pharmacy

Established in 2022 and funded by the Wisconsin Partnership Program, the Pathway Program aims to support the mentorship and professional development of scholars engaged in clinical and translational research at various stages of their academic careers. By strengthening mentor networks and guiding scholars toward their career development goals, the program promotes lifelong learning and sustained success.

The program offers several initiatives:

  • ADEPT, which supports part-time, nontraditional PhD students.
  • AHEAD, which supports postdoctoral scholars.
  • STRIDE, which supports new and early-career faculty.

In 2025, the Wisconsin Partnership Program supported expanding the Pathway Program to include LEADS. LEADS supports the professional development of mid-career faculty engaged in translational research. The program aims to support scholars’ well-being, enhance their leadership skills, and improve retention during this critical stage of their careers.

Congratulations to all the Pathway Program Scholars!
